My Sister’s Sweet Baby Girl
My sister gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl last week. She has called her Ava Grace and she is absolutely beautiful. This is my first niece and so I was particularly excited about meeting her. Unfortunately my sister does not live nearby. My family live in Lancashire and she lives near Gwynedd, North Wales which is about a 2 hour journey. However two hours is definitely not going to stop me from seeing this beautiful little girl.
I drove over to see her on the day she was born. Thankfully it was a Saturday and so I did not have to worry about getting time off work. Ava was born at 8.00am and by twelve midday I was arriving at the hospital with tons of gifts. I think my sister was a little overwhelmed but extremely happy. Unfortunately I had to leave again at two o'clock as visiting time was limited but I made arrangements to visit again this weekend and I have just returned home.

My sister lives in Betws Y Coed which is a small village. It was a beautiful day and so she allowed me to push the pram into the town for a short walk. I was very much the proud aunty. I few people actually stopped and congratulated me and I couldn't be bothered to tell them otherwise. She seemed to enjoy being pushed in the pram but she cried whenever it stopped moving. I rocked her backwards and forwards until she drifted off again but unfortunately some Used Triumph For Sale motorbikes drove past and woke her up again! Typical. Evidently she was still crying when I got her back home and so I will have to go again next week to prove that I am the best aunty in the world after all.
