Diners seeking Italian cuisine in Western Pennsylvania have many restaurant choices, including several in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. These Italian restaurants range from casual to formal, and inexpensive to costly. Traditionally, Italian meals consist of three to four courses and most restaurants offer several course selections, such as appetizers, pasta, main or meat dishes, desserts and coffee. Most also offer pizza. - Augustine's Italian Village is an Italian restaurant and take-out pizza shop in New Castle which offers pizza, sandwiches, salads, side dishes like cheese sticks and dinners to-go such as ravioli. Augustine's Italian Village also makes frozen pizzas for grocery stores in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.
- New York-based Lidia's Italy is located in the Pittsburgh Strip District. It offers traditional Italian meals such as ossobucco; gnocchi; antipasti; zuppa di pesce, a seafood soup with shrimp, scallops, mussels and more; and desserts such tiramisu, biscotti, gelato and sorbet. Lidia's Italy serves lunch and dinner, plus brunch on the weekends.
