For starters there are those who can afford it and don't have it. This may be a deeply disturbed mental issue. Why wouldn't you? Are you that cheap or do you hate dealing with insurance companies. Or maybe you make so much money that you are prepared for any catastrophic health disaster (I learned that word from my own policy). Anyway you look at it this person is in good shape, except for the mental thing.

The next subject could be the person that just makes enough income and may be in a more tighter situation with their personal budget. You may have to consider a larger deduction to bring your premium down but that will be more money out of pocket every time you need a physician or a hospital visit. An affordable insurance may also mean no coverage for dental, vision or even prescriptions.

Then there are those who really cant afford it. This would mean sacrificing may things that you may really need like a family plan. There are families that that can afford to have only their children covered and not the parents. The risk having coverage that allows for a major hospital stay is you will be paying throughout the year for all the doctor visits and that can be a major problem on your set salary.

The possibilities are endless. One thing is for sure is that we should all be thankful if we have health insurance. In most cases most people already have a policy. I bet a majority of families and individuals are without coverage. Maybe you've been denied health care or maybe you find assistance when you need it. How much does the government pay for those who cant afford it? I think we can all agree we need health insurance. Start researching and find a policy that works for you. If you have it you need to assess your health and review the policy once every year.
