Atlantic City is not exactly known for being a luxurious place.
Up until recently, in fact, it's been known more as a laid back seaside resort.
Not only that, but the economic decline and poor decisions by the New Jersey officials had Atlantic City in a downward decline for quite some time.
These days, though, things are looking brighter.
There are many great attractions in Atlantic City, including Steel Pier and the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, among others.
So, Atlantic City isn't just for gamblers.
Not only is that being recognized, lately, but many hotels are being built or renovated specifically for the purpose of giving guests a luxurious stay, regardless of why they're visiting the city.
The hope is that the new improvements will entice even more people to visit the wonderful city.
Trump Taj Mahal: Luxury travelers love the Trump Taj Mahal.
It has a wonderful look and feel.
Of course, just the name "Trump" brings to mind images of wealth and luxury.
The Taj has a lot more going for it than just a name, though.
One of the big draws is the wonderful spa.
It features aromatherapy, seaweed wraps, deep tissue massages and a lot more.
The restaurants, casino gaming and luxury penthouse suites are also big reasons to visit the Trump Taj Mahal.
The Borgata Hotel: As the most recent hotel and casino added to Atlantic City, the Borgata has developed a reputation for also being one of the most luxurious.
It was built in 2003 with the specific intent to rival the luxury and elegance of all of the Las Vegas casinos.
It doesn't disappoint.
There are 2,000 rooms in the casino.
There are also thirteen restaurants featuring fine foods for all tastes.

There are eleven different stores within the hotel and, of course, there's also a casino.
Whether your pleasure is slots, poker or roulette, you can find it at the Borgata.
Bally's: Then there's Bally's, a four-star hotel that's located right on the boardwalk.
Although it has less rooms than the Borgata, 1,240, to be exact, it's still got plenty of wonderful things to offer.
Among them is VIP valet service, which makes every guest that uses it feel like a king or queen.
Of course, the Borgata features a casino and restaurants, too.
It has sixteen restaurants, in fact.
It also has plenty of poker rooms and hosts many major poker tournaments.
So, there are plenty of casino games and great foods for everyone to experience.
In addition to all of that, Bally's has an 18-hole golf course, an aerobic center, an indoor pool and a Jacuzzi.
The spa at Bally's is wonderful, too.
So, although things in Atlantic City had been declining, they're now taking a turn for the better.
