Words Have Power - Write For the Senses

The power behind the words.
Words can be weapons we use to get something from somebody else.
This can be to get nothing but approval or respect.
It can also be to influence people to buy, to listen or to react.
Still words change the way people think about something or somebody.
Both is important when you are writing articles to market online.
If your words make them respect you they will also listen to what you have to say about an article or product.
They might just buy something they never thought they would buy because of the way you described it.
Freedom to use Words What is so wonderful is that you as a writer has the freedom to use whatever word you feel appropriate.
That freedom is exhilarating, but also dangerous.
Freedom to write in your own words is exhilarating because you are actually going to get to publish your final product.
Then somebody you do not know is actually going to read what you wrote.
Furthermore it will be read in the words you used.
Is this not exciting? It should be, but only when you have used well thought up sentences.
That is the danger.
Writing sentences filled with jargon without actually telling the reader what he should know can easily happen in a short piece.
Single Ideas Because an article is so short you do not have the space to elaborate on everything you say.
That is why it is better to single out a certain point and inform the reader about that.
If it is a shallow overview then tell the reader it is.
They will never hold it against you.
Only if they expected more and then get less of it.
Think What is the Important Part As an example here are two sentences.
Some members of the Council.
The Chairman of the Council.
Both sentences could be correct but what do you want people to know.
Is it about what the Council did or what the Chairman of the Council did? It does not always matter to everybody but it does matter to somebody.
What do you want the reader to know? That might differ from what he must know.
That is the difference between your writing and that of your friend.
Also between good and bad.
In Summary Words have tremendous power and with that come the exciting part and the dangerous part.
Let the reader know what you are going to tell him and he will be satisfied.
Let it up to him to decide and he could end up being very disappointed.
