This is a picture of my great-grandfather. We do not know what year it was taken, but he died in 1929. I had taken it out of the frame so I could photograph it in order to scan it to try to find out more about his uniform. As you can see, my mother is holding the picture straight up so I would get minimal glare from the overhead light in the room. The picture itself is shiny, but you can see clearly the face to the right of George's face.

It is no mistaking that it is my step-father who passed away in 1996. I took this picture in 2002. Another interesting point is that to my right as I was taking the picture is a china cabinet where my step-father's ashes are kept! We showed this to a woman that we know and she said that because he is over the ear and throat part that we are not hearing what he is trying to say, but we don't know what he is trying to say!
