  In 1983 Tenafly, New Jersey became home to the first Bensi Ristorante Italiano. Its founders Mario Bernardo and John Osso were born in Calabria, Italy and moved at a young age to the New Jersey area. Osso and Bernardo brought to the first Bensi restaurant their authentic and traditional Italian flavor and flair, and thanks to its cuisine, atmosphere and loyal patronage, Bensi Ristorante Italiano has grown into a chain of 24 locations. Its motto, "Always Fresh, All Ways Italian" sets the tone for all locations.
  
  

TPR Pizzeria‎ Restaurant

• The very first Bensi Restaurant opened in Tenafly, New Jersey in Bergen County. The location is referred to as the Tenafly Pizzeria Restaurant, or TPR. The TPR Pizzeria Restaurant does not currently offer delivery, but accepts orders for takeout and is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Sunday. TPR offers a vast menu of customer favorites like the chicken sandwich with mozzarella and roasted red peppers, baked zitti as well as a variety of classic Italian dishes like lasagna and traditional minestrone.

Bensi of Wayne

• Bensi of Wayne in Passaic County, New Jersey offers lunch and dinner Monday through Friday.
