All you need is an equal solution of distilled white vinegar and warm water.
I make this solution in a spray bottle to make it easier to apply to the affected area.
It is also a good idea to wear rubber gloves for cleaning.

Try this on an area which is out of sight first, to make sure it works good on your type of fabric or carpet and doesn't affect it in any other way.
