  Winnie, Texas is 20 miles from Galveston Beach, and 40 miles from Houston, making it a good base for vacation adventures. The town is also 20 miles from the Anahuac National Wildlife Preserve. There is plenty of wildlife to see, trails to walk, and beaches to explore in this area. Winnie has a nice downtown historic district as well, with several antique shops, restaurants and shopping opportunities.
  
  

Winnie Inn and RV Resort

• The Winnie Inn Suites and RV Park is a good place to stop for the night. It is a no-frills camping area behind the hotel, but it is separated from the hotel by a grassy area. The campground has 22 pull through sites with full hookups--water, sewer and electric--with 50 amp connections. There is free Wi-Fi available, and cable TV connections for a fee.

Larry's Old Time Trade Days Flea Market

• This is not an RV camp in the strictest sense of the word, but it might be one of the more interesting. The main business here is a weekend flea market--one of the largest on the Gulf Coast. It also has a camping area that vendors use and is open to the public. Larry's has 100 sites with full hookups--water, sewer and electric. There are two large heated bathrooms with showers for campers. There are convenient outdoor spaces and pavilions that can be used by campers.

Ninth Street RV Park

• This is a small RV park in downtown Winnie. It doesn't have a lot of extras, but it is convenient and close to everything in town. The park has 15 sites and they all have shade. It also has full hookups--water, sewer and electric--with 50 amp connections. The sites have concrete pads. The park is just off Interstate 10, and close to several eating establishments.
