John later informs a distant Ava that the cops got the email, and Roman and Hope are supposedly on it. He asks if she’s okay, but she claims she’s worried about the whole thing regarding Paul. He tries to assure her it will all work out. She wants to focus on something that’s brought her much pleasure and happiness. “What do you have in mind?” he inquires. She invites him to come upstairs so she can show him.

Ava comes back downstairs after making love to John and leaves an envelope on the table addressed to him, then walks out the door and out of his life.

Hope and Ciara are having breakfast together at home when Bo emerges. Hope gives him the third degree as Bo kisses his little angel. Ciara asks her daddy why mommy is sad. Bo tries to assure Ciara that her mommy’s going to be fine and tells her to run upstairs, brush her teeth, and get ready for daycare.

Alone with Bo, Hope rants how she didn’t sleep last night and kept agonizing over what he told her. She asks why he didn’t tell her about the tape when it first happened. Bo insists that it was something he had to do on his own and had to protect her. She is in disbelief that he withheld police evidence. “Because I believe my brother is innocent,” insists Bo, who states that Philip doesn’t have it in him to kill somebody, no matter how tough he acts. “Right now you’re acting more like a Kiriakis than the man that I love,” desponds Hope.

Bo arrives back home from taking Ciara to daycare and assures Hope that Ciara was alright by the time they arrived there.

Hope continues to give him the cold shoulder. Bo reminds her that he’s never been one to play by the rules. “Destroying evidence isn’t just bending the rules,” retorts Hope. Bo insists that his brother needed him and he’s innocent, suggesting that if she doesn’t understand this then maybe she doesn’t know him as well as she thought. He apologizes for disappointing her. Hope is convinced that Ava Vitali sent the anonymous email to the station. Bo is determined to smoke out whoever’s responsible for Paul’s disappearance, and is sure that it’s John. He reminds Hope that she’s a cop and now knows what he did, so that makes her an accessory after the fact. “You with me on this or you gonna turn me in?” he asks. Hope admits she’s even more scared of Bo’s involvement in the case if John is behind Paul’s disappearance. Bo asks again if she’s going to stand beside her on this. “I’m always standing beside you,” she assures him. She vows that they will deal with this together. He hugs her.

Kate visits Victor in his hospital room and notes how much better he looks. Victor relays how he heard that Daniel put his foot down about no more visitors. Kate confirms this and implies how Daniel chewed her out for spilling the beans about Philip, but later apologized to her. Victor expresses relief that Philip’s alright. Kate refers to Daniel as a pretty amazing guy. Victor notes how fond of Daniel she sounds. He asks about Lucas. Kate says he’s as well as can be expected considering he was almost beaten to death in prison. Victor remarks what a brave thing Lucas did in prison, and now he can live his life free. “Hopefully not with Sami,” mutters Kate. Victor worries that Philip may be headed for disaster, in spite of their best efforts. Kate admits she’s worried about their son too, thinking that it would all go away when she destroyed the recording. Victor suspects that there’s something else she’s not telling him, but she claims it’s nothing and predicts Daniel will be furious with her if she upsets him again. Victor insists that he’s fine. Kate reveals that Philip received an anonymous note at the mansion the other day. She recounts how Philip thought it was John toying with him, so he marched over to the mansion and ended up taking a bullet for Morgan, who is convinced that John had something to do with her father’s disappearance. Victor wonders if John knows about the recording between Paul and Philip. Kate doesn’t know, but knows John would love to see Philip fry. Victor vows that from now on, John will have him to deal with.

Lexie, Theo, and Chelsea later arrive at the hospital, where Lexie thanks her for taking Theo to therapy since she’s running late. Chelsea offers to bring Theo by after therapy. Lexie assures Theo that Chelsea will be taking him and she’ll see him later. Theo hugs his mommy. After Chelsea leads Theo away, Tony arrives to see Lexie.

Victor later laments Philip getting involved in the shipping war. Kate doesn’t think John gave him a choice. Victor worries about Philip going to jail for murder. “Philip did not kill Paul Hollingsworth,” affirms Kate. Victor reminds her that their son threatened Paul. He regrets guilting Bo into handing over the recording and now fears both of his sons could be in serous trouble. Kate tries to assure him that they will get to the bottom of it, but in the meantime the recording is gone. She needs to go before she gets into serous trouble with Daniel. Victor thanks her and assures her that Philip’s lucky to have her for a mother. She comes out of Victor’s room and encounters Tony and Lexie before leaving.

Tony informs Lexie that Stefano had a seizure, and he’s being taken out of long-term care and should be arriving at the hospital soon. “Doctors think there’s a chance he could come out of the coma,” shares Tony. Lexie is in disbelief that her father could be coming out of the coma. E.J. arrives on the scene and wonders if Stefano’s waking up.

A cheery Morgan enters Philip’s hospital room and asks him how he’s feeling. He smiles how he had an amazing dream last night. She admits she had one too. “Oh yeah? What did you dream?” he inquires. She responds by kissing him. They chat some more before Philip admits he would save her life again in a heartbeat. Morgan smiles how she’s never met a man so infuriating, yet so amazing at the same time. Philip playfully refers to himself as a challenge. Morgan jokes how he’s also arrogant. Philip reminds her of what each of them said to one another, then questions if she meant it. She kisses him again.
