2.15.10 One Tree Hill Episode Review – Season 7 Episode 17 – At The Bottom of Everything

Things are pretty depressing in Tree Hill these days. Along with everyone struggling with their own personal demons, the news that Haley’s mom Lydia is dying from cancer has her daughters on edge. Quinn shows Clay the new photography studio her mom bought her and then the two say goodbye as Clay has to leave town to handle business with his clients. Meanwhile Millicent is doing the rehab thing and trying to get her life on track.

Back at the bar Miranda is trying to persuade Grubbs to cut a record deal with her, but he says he is afraid because it would be too personal. What is wrong with this guy? He’s sitting behind a bar serving drunk people alcohol and a record executive is begging him to make an album. In the end he signs a deal after Miranda eats a pickled egg, talks like a pirate, and walks into the bar half-naked. Grubbs is already making weird rock star demands so I think he’ll be just fine.

The whole Brooke, Julian, and Alex saga is continuing to play out as Julian and Brooke continue to talk like they’re in love while Alex is pining in the background. Alex reveals to Julian that the reason she is so tired on set is because she slept with Alexander the night before. Julian gets jealous and ends up walking Alex back to his room. The episode ends with Brooke getting all fancied up and walking into Julian’s room only to see Alex lying in his bed. A pretty slow episode this week, but look for stuff to hit the fan next week!
