Nowadays, oak furniture is the perfect addition to any style of decor and naturally, oak beds become more and more popular.
With the development of this trend, fake ones or ones that of poor quality appear on the market.
To distinguish ones that have good quality from those that are of poor quality and genuine oak beds from fake ones, knowing how to check woodiness, grain and color is of vital importance.
The woodiness of oak is a little bit rough but if you touch its surface, you will find that it has a good texture.
In general, to provide more patterns, the beds are painted before going to the market and thus you must look over the woodiness of parts that are not colored when buying those painted beds.
On the side of wood grain, the beds are unique due to their clear and lovely grain.
Actually the clearer the grain is, the more valuable are, just like rain flower pebbles, the more natural the flower patterns are, the better pebbles are.
Furthermore, it is suggested to choose a light-colored oak bed because light color can not change or cover up the natural color of the wood.
The natural color of the bed is not good enough on the market at present.
Those beds that are of poor quality usually have impure color.
There are other ways to check for genuine oak beds as well, such as checking the degree of drying to avoid buying half-dried beds which will become deformed easily, and weighting the beds because a real oak bed is always quite heavy.
All in all then, to protect your interests, it is better to know those methods.
