In 1999, Carolla and his friend and fellow comedian Jimmy Kimmel created and hosted The Man Show on Comedy Central, featuring taped sketches and in-studio audience participation pieces focused on "guy" stuff. Carolla and Kimmel both left the show in 2003, and comedians Doug Stanhope and Joe Rogan took over as hosts. The show was canceled in 2004.

In addition to The Man Show, Carolla co-created the successful Comedy Central series Crank Yankers, which ran for four seasons, and provided one of the voices on the Comedy Central animated show Drawn Together.

The Adam Carolla Podcast:

Immediately following the cancellation of his morning radio show in 2009, Carolla started his own daily podcast. The show was an immediate success, scoring a million and a half downloads in just its first week and over two million downloads in its second. By 2011, the show had overtaken The Ricky Gervais Show as the most download podcast on the internet with nearly 60 million downloads.

The podcast was named Best Audio Podcast by iTunes in 2009.

• In 2005, Carolla hosted his own short-lived late night talk show, Too Late with Adam Carolla, for Comedy Central. It lasted only four months.
• Also in 2005, Carolla hosted and starred on The Adam Carolla Project for TLC, in which Carolla -- a former carpenter -- remodeled the house in which he grew up. The show only ran for one season, after which the remodeled house sold for over $1 million.
• He's a former amateur boxer and car enthusiast.
• He wrote and starred in the 2006 movie The Hammer, based on his own life prior to getting his break in show business. The movie was released independently and didn't have huge box office returns, but was well-reviewed by critics.
• He has written two books: In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks...and Other Complaints from an Angry Middle-Aged White Guy in 2010 and Not Taco Bell Material in 2012. In addition, he co-authored the book The Dr. Drew and Adam Book, a collection of advice from his year on Loveline, in 1998.

• Carolla was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2008.
