Hotel Birger Jarl
If you have been traveling for quite awhile now and feel like you have seen them all, well that is how I felt.
I wanted a hotel with a different vibe and so I looked for one.
That was when I chanced upon the Hotel Birger Jarl in Stockholm.
It was named after Birger Jarl, the founder of Stockholm.
it is a four star hotel and its safety is certified by the Safehotels Alliance.
It is located in the golden triangle between Stureplan, Hotorget and Jarlaplan.
It is one of the best locations for shopping since Hotel Birger Jarl is surrounded by boutiques and the shopping district central of Stockholm.
For business, it is highly accessible.
The Hotel Birger Jarl in Stockholm is a mere ten minute ride from the Stockholm Central Station.
It was built in September 1974 but has gone through several renovations these past few years.
One of those renovations included16 signature rooms out of the 235 rooms that Hotel Birger Jarl now houses.
Designed by various artists, each of these 16 rooms are artworks by themselves.
I was impressed.
Be prepared to be fascinated and surprised not just with your room but with the whole hotel experience.
I should know because I was there and experienced it all.
I definitely liked my room.
It is not your typical hotel room.
It was artfully done, coupled with all the modern amenities.
I was more than content.
I was able to sleep in a King-sized bed, had a bathroom and bath with extra bathroom accessories, a minibar with non-alcoholic beverages inside, tea and coffee-making facilities.
I even had an iron and ironing board in my room.
Add to that is the free wireless internet and I was good to go.
Evidently, much thought has been given to a guest's comfort.
Everything I needed was right inside my room.
All the rooms are non-smoking so you are assured of breathing clean, fresh air.
Breakfast at the hotel is between 6 in the morning until 11 am so no rush there.
The variety of food they serve is scrumptious, varied and superb.
Breakfast at Hotel Birger Jarl was more than enough to get me up and ready in the mornings.
The Hotel Birger Jarl Stockholm also has a gym which I was able to put to good use as I am an exercise junkie and neither did I let the sauna facilities go untested.
I was also impressed with the heated parking facilities at Hotel Birger Jarl, Stockholm.
I took the time to take a tour of the conference rooms because I was interested of having my team meetings there.
I chose the Hardinger's Meeting room, since I was only going to meet with ten people.
The chairs were comfortable and of course, the wireless internet connection proved to be very helpful.
I was happy to note that Hotel Birger Jarl in Stockholm also adds a little touch of thoughtfulness when they served freshly baked buns with coffee.
When all the work was done, I was able to tour around the city and enjoy the wonderful sights that Stockholm had to offer.
If I were to come back, I would certainly want to stay at Hotel Birger Jarl, Stockholm again.
