    • 1). Ensure the unit is in a position to receive power from a general purpose AC electric supply. This means ensuring the power cable is secure and undamaged and checking that the relevant circuit breaker has not tripped; if it has, reset it. Remedy any obvious issues before trying the supply power again.

    • 2). Avoid overloading the unit, which can be responsible for it overheating and malfunctioning and shutting down. The output terminals are designed to handle up to a 30 Amp output as a maximum. The "Overload Indicator" light will illuminate if this error occurs.

    • 3). Replace a blown fuse if the unit refuses to start. This could be due to a blown fuse ensuring the unit will not be able to spark to life. The replacement fuse should be an 8 Amp "Fast-Blo" fuse for the fuse holder.

    • 4). Avoid placing any other electrical items on top of the unit and ensure it is placed in a well-ventilated area. These are safety precautions but will also help troubleshoot issues such as an overheating unit.
