Maintenance

Overheating

• A blocked spark arrestor screen can cause severe engine overheating and damage. If the screen or muffler are defective, the leaf blower should not be used, according to Husqvarna.
  
  

Cleaning

• Proper maintenance of a leaf blower should include weekly inspection of the tail pipe and cleaning or changing of the spark arrestor screen if necessary. Removing the screen and cleaning it with a wire brush is recommended.
