Connubial Blitz - One Life To Life Recap for Wednesday, October 21, 2009
In the hospital hallway, Jack and his Dad banter about his missing school to check on his Mom. Jack feels that Todd doesn’t want him there so he can “hook up” with Blair. Manning almost breaks into laughter when his spawn refers to Delgado as “Half-Naked.” Upon entering Blair’s room, they find an empty bed bringing her son to worry that she’s aimlessly wandering the halls not knowing who she is. Manning orders his son to wait in the room while he looks for his ex.
Jack finds a box of candy and starts devouring it on her bed.
In another part of the hospital, Blair enters Marty’s office. Cramer makes it clear that the shrink is never to divulge the success of the hypnosis. Dr. Saybrooke warns her client that the truth has a way of getting out and reminds her of her experience with Todd keeping her in the dark while he cared for her. Blair rolls her eyes, “I was there for the second act.” She then spins Marty’s chair, claims she’s waiting for the right moment and demands her secret be kept safe. “What secret?” says Todd from the doorway. The blonde claims she was there for another failed hypnotic session. As the duo leaves, Marty shakes her head.
At his cell, Ross is told by a guard that he has a “hot lady visitor” and he assumes it’s Blair. It’s Tea offering him a briefcase full of cash to sign off his rights for their child. Ross turns her down as he wants the relationship with their kid. He also reminds her that Todd has moved on and it’s their child, not Todd’s. It’s his theory that Manning would never take her back with another man’s child.
Back in Blair’s room, Elijah enters and asks Jack if he should be eating candy. When the boy retorts with, “Who the hell are you,” the attorney surmises the kid must belong to Manning. Elijah proudly announces that he got custody of the kids for Todd. Jack smirks while he applauds his thanks. The attorney comments Jack should go to Juvenile Hall for hitting Ross. The boy continues to mouth off as Blair and Todd enter. Jack leaves and Elijah begs Blair to drop the charges on Ross. Seeing a jealous look on Todd’s face, she agrees to comply.
Across town at the cottage, Rex is surprised that Roxy has arrived to take Shane to Volunteer Day at the diner. He thought he was taking him. Roxie retorts that just because she’s “exstranged” from her grandson, she still wants to be part of his life. Shane comes downstairs and shares high 5s with his grandma. Gigi feels she and Rex should oblige Roxy and that they attend couples counseling with Dr. Saybrooke who just happens to have a cancellation that evening.
At the diner, Oliver walks in on Kyle accepting Nick’s proposal. Nick explains to Fish that it’s a symbolic wedding for Llanview’s Gay and Lesbian Alliance Group and will be held the next day. Kyle looks uncomfortable throughout the explanation. Nick invites Kyle to come to a meeting across town. Lewis claims he has to study and then go on duty at the hospital. Nick grabs him and gives him a passionate kiss goodbye right in front of dejected Fish as well as in view of Roxy and Shane at the counter! The bleached blonde says to her grandson, “I guess you have a couple of questions.” Shane knows they’re gay and only wishes his parents kissed that way. Meanwhile Oliver questions Kyle as to why he’s doing all this for “show.” Oliver leaves when Kyle makes it clear they are in the past and he is moving on. Roxy asks Kyle if he’s sure he’s marrying the right man.
Over at LaBoulaie, David pleads with Dorian to stop the nonsense of the gay wedding. When he admits he still has feelings for her, she asks where those feelings were when he dumped her at the alter and then again when he bolted to Hollywood for commercial fame. He counters with how quickly she got over him with the company of the “Colombian Casanova!” Vickers pulls her close. She “needs a man’s warmth and touch.” They kiss. Dori asks him if he loves her. The phone rings. It’s Amelia. Three major media are covering the nuptials. David curtly tells Dorian she looks sexy in white and leaves the room.
Back at the jail, Elijah tells Ross that Blair is dropping the charges. The brother is elated until the attorney tells him he thinks Blair did it to make the also present Manning jealous. Meanwhile in the hospital room, a nurse tells Delgado that Blair has been taken home by her husband. Tea knocks everything off the tray board and cries out, “He’s mine” as she departs the room. At LaBoulaie, Todd asks Blair if she needs anything before he goes. She tells him no and as he turns to the door, she whispers, “Todd, don’t go.”
