While the economy hasn't been good, all of us should not let it get in the way of our much needed vacation. It has been shown that vacations are needed to stay healthy. If you don't have the money, there are many ways to enjoy yourself without going broke. If you like the outdoors, you could try camping. Camping is much cheaper than staying at a hotel. It also allows you to teach the kids about nature and all that it offers. Personally, camping is not for me. Camping can really bring families together.
If you are not into camping, you could take day trips. Pack a lunch and head to the beach or mountains.You will not only save money but you will also get exercise for your body.
There are also other ways to take an inexpensive trip. Traveling during off peak times can save you tons. Airlines are smart and jack the price when most people will be traveling. Instead of a hotel room try renting a timeshare. I have stayed at many timeshares that are better then my home.
