No Apology Necessary

Kate and Jax hesitate before kissing, and then break out into apologies. Kate admits, "I really wanted you to kiss me." She is feeling the sting of Sonny's rejection of her, and Jax is upset about the entire Michael situation. Things haven't been the same during all of the turmoil, but he wants the marriage to work. "You know how I feel about Carly," Kate tells Jax, "but don't give up on your marriage to her."

A Sense of Betrayal

In a state of amazement, Sonny turns to Carly and asks if she had sex with him to get him to give up his custody of their son. Carly tearfully says that it isn't true and that she isn't doing this to punish him. Morgan's safety is paramount, and he's safer out of Sonny's world. Sonny is furious. "You tell my son that I will see him tomorrow," he says through gritted teeth. Jax is already home when an exhausted Carly enters. They make love.

A Chance Meeting

Sonny heads to the Haunted Star to find Luke, but finds Kate instead. He compliments her on how beautiful she looks. She tells him about the gala. Needing a friend, he reiterates Carly's blindsiding of him in the limosine. Kate is horrified. Though Sonny wonders if Carly may be right, Kate assures him that Morgan needs him, and he cannot drop out of his son's life.

Pillow Talk

A delirious Claudia, believing Johnny is with her, says she never should have trusted Devlin. With a few judicious questions, Nikolas realizes that Claudia put out a hit on Sonny and that Michael was hit instead.

Claudia regains consciousness not knowing where she is, though she thinks she has met Nikolas before. He explains that he saved her and mentions the past party where Emily died due to a mobster's vengeful son. Nikolas angrily reveals to her that he knows what she did, and her sins would be for "a jury to decide ... if Sonny Corinthos doesn't kill you first." Claudia denies any wrongdoing.

A Tough Sacrifice

Liz and Jason know they still live one another, but Jason realizes it can never be. Michael's coma hangs over him, and he continues to blame himself. Elizabeth, Cameron and Jake must remain safe. Elizabeth is heartbroken. "I'd never change the past, though" she admits. Finally she drives away, knowing that she is driving away from the man she loves.

Win, Lose or Draw

Tracy continues to be insecure about Anna Devane, and Luke attempts to convince her that Anna is of no interest to him. He has closed the Haunted Star for the night and puts on some music. He and Tracy begin to dance, only to be interrupted by Trevor. He wants to cut cards for the piers - high card, Luke wins; if Trevor wins, Lulu gets out of town. That game is stopped by another interruption. This time, it's the police with a search warrant. They want everyone to be taken down to the station, too, to be questioned. Alexis meets them there, Luke insisting that he was framed. "Do you honestly think if I did something illegal, I'd be stupid enough to leave evidence for someone to find?" he asks her. Tracy attempts to arrange bail, but Mac says there will be no bail as it's a Federal RICO charge. "Must be tough having a fool for a father," Trevor observes to Lucky. "Ric would know about that," Lucky says.
