There are many situations in which you may find yourself desperate to sell your home.
Some of these include pending repossession, relationship breakdown, poor health, to name but a few.
If you are in a hurry and need to sell your home as soon as possible here are a list of things that can get things moving.
- The first step you need to take is to tidy up the house.
Do a walk through and make a list of all those little jobs that you promised to do some day but never got round to it.
Now is the time to get those tasks done.
You can always call in handy man who will probably complete the jobs quicker and more professionally than you would do.
Once you have created a list put the items on the list in order of priority.
- Once those nagging jobs have been completed, it's time to do a massive spring clean.
There are plenty of cleaning companies locally that will come in and do a quick swoop of your home.
Thereby leaving it looking and smelling fresh and clean.
If you would rather tackle the cleaning yourself get the rest of the family involved.
Make a big day of it.
When a prospective purchaser comes to view your clean house will make a lasting impression on them.
- Next it's time to market your house.
Make a list of friends and family that you know.
This list might include work colleagues, club members, church goings in fact everyone you know.
Then text, email or post them a flier stating that it is available for sale.
Include a brief history in your communication as well as photos if possible.
It is important that you don't appear desperate in your flier.
Invite them round for a view at a time that is suitable to you.
- Visit local estate agents and property investors to get a picture of what the current property market it like.
You never know you may be introduced to an investor that is willing to buy your home for a reduction in price.
- Look online for sites that will allow you to upload a for sale ad for little or no cost.
These adverts will be read by a wider audience and may just be the type of property someone out there is looking for.
- If you have a Facebook, Twitter or any other social media account, send a message to the people on your list about the sale of your home.
