The Redundancy of Hotels in Bulgaria has Come to Light
Millions of euros were put in the building of the hotels, bars and other tourist objects, but not the whole necessary infrastructure is developed well enough.
For example, one of the most popular resorts of the country - Sunny Beach - possesses more than 200 hotels, but the transport network is underdeveloped.
According to the data, afforded by Deutsche Welle, tourism provides Bulgaria with 2 milliard euros yearly, but nowadays the decrease of the flow of the foreign tourists is observed.
Though the income from the foreign tourists during the first five months of the year made up 532 milliard euros - 16% more than during the analogous period of 2006, the total amount of tourists during this period has decreased.
This information was made public by Anelia Krushkova, the Head of the State Tourist Agency of Bulgaria, at the end of July.
The decrease of the flow of the tourists resulted in the increased competition between the hotels and many of them had to bring down the prices.
For all that many of the hotel rooms, especially without the view of the sea, are empty anyway.
TheBlack Sea coast of Bulgaria stretches for 380 kilometers, the numerous seaside resorts of Bulgaria (more than 30) divide it into the northern coast and the southern coast.
Sunny Beach, Elenite, Nessebar, Dyuni, Primorsko and other resort complexes belong to the famous southern resorts.
Golden Sands, Albena, Riviera, Rusalka, Balchik, St.
Constantine and Elena and some more resorts belong to the northern resorts.
A number of resorts are honoured with the Blue flag, with which the Global Ecological Fund awards the best beaches.
The infrastructure of the resort zone on the northern coast of Bulgaria is well-developed.
There are more large resorts and possibilities to have a comfortable rest in the luxurious hotels with the sport complexes, restaurants and firm shops here.
The climate on the southern coast is warmer, and the active holiday season is longer, from May till the end of September.
The coastline is greatly disjointed in the South, there are a great number of bays and picturesque beaches here and the small charming resorts - resort settlements, coastal villages and towns prevail here.
The largest tourist complex is Sunny Beach, which can seat 40 000.
The southern seaside resorts of Bulgaria, which combine the rich natural and cultural potential, are considered to be relatively cheap, that's why there are a lot of young people and holiday-makers with children here.
The resorts of Bulgaria attract a number of investors by so far low and constantly increasing prices for immovable property in the coastal zone.
However many holiday-makers complained of the too dense settlement and the constant construction works along the Black Sea coast, which degrade the quality of their holiday.
In May the authorities of a number of the coastal cities ordered to suspend all the construction works on the Black Sea coast.
Though the construction firms are aware of the prohibition, in practice it turns out that their governing body prefers to pretend, that they know nothing apropos of this.
The experts connect the given fact with the low fines, which are imposed on the transgressors.
