Being a mom to your child will never be in question especially when you know that you are doing a great job. In the middle of everything, you make time for the baby's visit to the pedia, bring him to the park to bond with other kids. Sing him to sleep and ensure of his well-being. After you come home at night, you check on the baby and make sure that he's well taken care of by the trusted nanny or member of the family. No guilt whatsoever even though you are trying to maintain a healthy career. But wait, you are not only a mom, you are also a wife.

Having a date night among the stressful days for the married couple is a struggle. Even though you have a helper and a nanny to watch over the baby, sometimes you just want to hit the sack after working the whole day through. If it's been going on for so long then you are in a red alert. The spark between husband and wife starts to fade. Husband and wife need some quality time alone to de-stress. Most of the time, the pressure in raising the family is too much to handle. Not to mention bills and other monthly dues, sometimes you need a breather. Here are things you can do with your husband:
Friday night is date night.

Have a quiet dinner or just go out for a movie night together. Sure the baby won't mind being with the nanny's care for three to four hours more. Talk about the past week's blues.
Plan that weekend getaway for the two of you.

Once in a while it's good to plan a trip for the two of you. It doesn't have to be expensive and costly. There are a lot of promos in the market. Traveling together strengthens the bond between husband and wife. They learn together and discover things about different places together.
Cook a new recipe.

It doesn't matter if none of you knows how to cook. Watch youtube or grab that cookbook in the shelf. No matter how simple the recipe may be, it's the bonding and the idea that you are doing something together that would matter.
Simple things matter.

In a relationship, it would take two to make it work. That would also apply to being the good parents to your kids. Work on everything. Work together. Being a mom will come out naturally. It's a lot of difference with being a wife. As a woman who's in charge of everything, it can be confusing as to what role you should be for the moment. When the baby needs your attention, then be the mom. Sure dad will understand if you claim that mom-kid time. As long as you have that drive to make everything better if not the best out of every situation you are in, then you are on the right track. It's just a matter of time management and the call of the situation. Take one moment at a time and marvel on it. Make it memorable and do your best.
