There are three main bus stations in New York City: Port Authority, Penn Station and George Washington Bridge. Port Authority and Penn Station bus stations are centrally-located, respectively near Times Square and Herald Square in Manhattan. George Washington Bridge Station is in uptown Manhattan and is ideal for travel to northern locations. Dozens of bus companies also run service from a variety of areas in New York, including Chinatown, Midtown and the Financial District.
