Haunted Houses mean zombies, ghouls, ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night. Be warned: some are not recommend for children or anyone easily spooked or with health conditions. Check them out in advance. Some use strobe lights which may trigger seizures in some people. Be safe and check them out first; you'll have a hauntingly good time.

Make the State Fair of Texas a tradition. It's food, it's football, it's fun for all ages. You'll go when pigs fly? You're in luck because there are pig races at the fair. For the small prices of admission, you can enjoy lots of free things to do like visiting the Children's Medical Center Petting Zoo, the Starlight Parade, Mother Goose Storytime, the Auto Show and free concerts. Don't miss KC & the Sunshine Band, Jack Ingram, and Crystal Bowersox from American Idol fame. The people watching element alone is a reason to visit the fair.
