• Interceptors are often sold in auctions by police departments. One reviewer at Carsurveyor.org warns purchasers of Interceptors to be wary of police departments selling cars with engine histories or transmission problems. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Energy's website states that the 1994 Interceptor gets 15 miles per gallon in the city and 21 on the highway, which is not especially fuel efficient.
