How to Use the Laborer in "Glory to Rome"

    • 1). Lead your Laborer role when there is only a single card in the pool of available cards, or when there are two cards in the pool and you have one laborer client that lets you take an extra laborer action. This will empty the pool and leave your opponents with nothing.

    • 2). Play the Laborer when you have a building in progress that requires a material currently available in the pool, especially if you do not have that material in your hand.

    • 3). Play the Laborer defensively by stealing materials from the pool that opponents may need to complete buildings.

    • 4). Build the Dock to allow yourself to add cards directly from your hand into your stockpile, so you don't have to rely on the pool.

    • 5). Use the Laborer to get as much marble in your stockpile as possible, and then build the Scriptorium. This will allow you to complete any building with a single Architect role.

    • 6). Build the Stockpile building to allow all of your clients to function as Laborers, which will allow you to dump cards from the pool into your stockpile whenever you play Laborer. If the pool runs low, you may want the Dock as well.

    • 7). Build the Wall to give yourself half a point at the end of the game for each material in your stockpile. There is no limit to the number of cards you can have in your stockpile, so grab as many as you can!
