Biography

Although Nadia was born in Newport, Rhode Island, her family moved to her father’s native country of Sweden when Nadia was just two months old. Nadia spent much of her childhood growing up surrounded by her father Ulf’s love of music. Ulf was a Swedish composer and conductor of classical music, whose love for classical music was passed down to his extremely beautiful and talented musician daughter. After the family traveled abroad, Ulf took a job conducting the Florida Philharmonic and Palm Beach Symphony. Nadia began performing professionally when she was only six years old. Sadly, Nadia's father passed away when she was only twelve.

After spending much of her childhood performing, competing, and earning recognition and awards for her excellency in music, theater, voice, and dance, she decided to turn her attention to acting. Nadia gained major exposure when she landed the part of Chloe Lane, a mysterious young opera singer, on Days of Our Lives. DAYS Executive Producer Tom Langan was taken by Nadia’s presence and described her as “a serene, fascinating beauty who floats through a room.”

Nadia won over DAYS viewers with her portrayal of Chloe Lane, who was initially portrayed as a nerd who consistently dressed in all black and wore glasses, earning the nickname “Ghoul Girl" by her cruel classmates. It was not until several months later at the Last Blast Dance of 2000 where Chloe unveiled herself to be a breathtakingly beautiful young woman. Nadia’s character became involved in one of the most popular love triangles in DAYS with Philip and Brady, portrayed by Jay Kenneth Johnson and Kyle Lowder, respectively. Fans were divided on who they wanted Chloe to be with, and penned the couple nicknames “Phloe” and “Broe.” Nadia chose to leave DAYS in June of 2003 in order to concentrate on her singing career. During her break from DAYS, she made numerous guest appearances on various primetime shows. She returned to the show for brief recurring stints and ultimately Chloe married Brady Black.

Nadia’s movie If I Had Known I Was a Genius also starred Sharon Stone, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tara Reid. The movie was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2007, where it generated positive reviews. Nadia gained even more popularity when she was cast as the female lead in the 2007 movie Redline, which also starred Eddie Griffin and Nathan Phillips. Nadia portrayed a beautiful young automobile fanatic and lead singer of an unsigned band on the West coast. Her character, Natasha Martin, finds herself caught up in illegal drag-racing competitions organized for the pleasure of bored multi-millionaires.

In the latter part of 2007, Nadia was lured back to DAYS to reprise her role as Chloe Lane Black. Many fans were overjoyed to see the beautiful actress return to the role which put her on the map, but were dismayed that her former co-star and love interest, Kyle Lowder, (ex-Brady Black) was unable to return to the show.

Nadia maintains a close relationship with her mother, whom Nadia describes as her best friend. She also describes her interior designer and decorator mother as “the most visually artistic person I know.” Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy Wesley), who portrayed Nadia’s mother on the show, has seen the family’s closeness as well as the musical talent in the family. Kevin Spirtas (ex-Dr. Craig Wesley), who portrayed Nadia’s father on the show, describes Nadia’s family as “absolutely incredible people who have graciously taken us into their family.”
