How to Record Radio Internet Broadcasts Using a Specific Time
- 1). Log onto your computer using an account with administrator rights. Download and install the Aktiv MP3 Recorder software (see the link in References).
- 2). Launch the Aktiv MP3 Recorder.
- 3). Enter your recording parameters. Click on the "Device" drop-down menu and select your computer's sound card from the list of choices. Click on the "Input Pin" drop-down menu and select "WAV Out Mix." In the "Format settings" section, click on the "File" drop-down menu and select the format you would like your audio file to be saved as (WAV, MP3 or WMA). Click "Browse" in the "Target file" section. Navigate to the directory location you want your scheduled recording to be saved. Click "OK." Type the name you want for this recording in the "File name" box.
- 4). Schedule the recording. Click "Schedule" in the menu options and fill out the Schedule form. You'll need to set the date and time your Internet radio show is scheduled to broadcast. Enter the web page address where the radio show is streamed from in the "URL" box. Designate how often you want this scheduled recording to take place. If this is a one-time scheduled recording, type "0" in the every box. Check the box next to "Disconnect when finished." Then click the "Add" button.
- 5). Exit the Aktiv MP3 Recorder program (if you wish) but leave your modem and computer turned on.

- 2). Set up your recording parameters. Click "New Record." Select "44,100" from the "Sampling Rate" drop-down menu, click on the "Stereo" radio button and click "OK" to bring up the Recording dialog box. Click on the "Device" drop-down menu and select your computer's sound card from the list of choices.
- 3). Schedule the recording. Click "Time Recording." Click on the "Automatically On" radio button. Set the start date and time. Check the box next to "Stop After" and specify the length of radio show in the "hours: minutes: seconds" box. Click the "Start Timer Record" button.
- 4). Launch your web browser and go to the web page streaming the radio broadcast you want to record. Start the radio stream and leave it open. The Free Audio Editor software will begin recording the stream at the time you designated.
