- 1). Spend at least 248,000 bells on items at Nook's General Store. Send an invitation to one of your friends to visit your town and make an additional purchase at the general store to trigger the store upgrade. When Nook upgrades his store, it changes to Nookington's.
- 2). Enter Nookington's and enter the Shampoodle shop on the first floor.
- 3). Talk to Harriet the hair stylist. She asks you a few questions. The first question is always "Hmm. Now tell me, Sugar, when do you want your style to REALLY come alive?" The next few questions are dependent on the previous answers. After answering three questions, Harriet sets the hair style. The fourth question determines your hair color.
