As an affiliate marketer I used to spend a lot of time searching for a product to promote.
I often used to end up finding a great set of buying keywords with great revenue potential but never being able to find a product that I could promote with it.
I am not a great fan of click bank even though is has high commission because I find it hard to generate leads through, finding a physical product to promote can be a lot tougher when you are looking for good commission.
You can try promoting amazon products but that only works if you can manage to sell a huge amount of them, for one person that can be quite a tough task.
There are a many directories which list thousands of sites which have affiliate programs and the truth is that most companies do, it is in the best interest for any company to have a good solid list of affiliate marketers working with them.
You can find these directories by simply typing in "affiliate directories" into Google, these directories usually have a huge list of programs in any niche you could dream of.
Another way to find an affiliate program manually, which does take more work but I have found many gems this way is to type affiliate "keyword" into Google.
Replacing the word keyword with any niche you are hoping to conquer.
For example I used the very popular Acai berry as my keyword and it came up with 350,000 links.
This a simple yet effective way to find programs which support your keywords, but always be careful that it is a reputable program you are getting into, some can be scams and never pay you for the leads you bring them.
Try using specific niches rather than long tail keywords when searching for affiliate programs such as fishing or bikes.
There are many sites that I have found using this method which can give up to 40% commission.
Don't settle for 6% when you could be aiming high.
