How to Use Facebook on Your Phone
- 1). Launch the Internet from your phone.
- 2). Type "www.facebook.com" in the address bar.
- 3). Sign in to your account. This will cause Facebook to open on your Home page, which consists of "News Feed," "Events" and "Places" tabs.
- 4). Click on the "News Feed" tab to view recent posts made by your friends. Type in a status update in the "What's on your mind?" box. Tap on the Location icon beside the "What's on your mind?" box to provide a location check-in. Facebook will receive this information via your cell phone. Click on "Comment" under any post to respond to a friend's post. This will allow you to read other peoples comments and leave a comment of your own.
- 5). Click on the "Events" tab to view events you have been invited to. Click on the name of an event to view the details or click on "Yes," "No" or "Maybe" beside the name of an event to RSVP.
- 6). Click on the "Places" tab to view a list of all your past location check-ins.
- 7). Click "Profile" at the top of the screen. This page consists of "Wall," "Info" and "Photos" tabs.
- 8). Click on the "Wall" tab to view your wall.
- 9). Click on the "Info" tab to review the information that you have made public on your profile, such as your birthday, relationship status and occupation.

Click on the "Photos" tab to view your photo albums and photos that you have been tagged in. Click on any album to view its contents. Click on the thumbnail of a photo to view it in full screen mode. - 11
Click on "Friends" at the top of the screen. This page consists of "Friends," "Phonebook" and "Pages" tabs. - 12
Click on the "Friends" tab to browse through your list of friends. Click on any name to view that person's profile. - 13
Click on the "Phonebook" tab to view any phone number that has been posted by a friend. Tap on any phone number to call it. - 14
Click on "Pages" to view pages that you "Like" as well as fan pages and groups that you have joined. Tap on the name of any page to view it. Use the tabs at the top of these pages to navigate through them. - 15
Click on "Inbox" at the top of the screen. This page consists of a "Messages" and "Sent" tab. - 16
Click on the "Messages" tab to view the contents of your inbox. Search for a particular email using the "Search Inbox" box at the top of the page. Click on the "Compose" button at the top left of the screen to write and send an email. Click on any email to read it or to read other emails sent to and/or from the same person. Scroll to the bottom of the page and type a reply to an email in the "Write a message" box. - 17
Click on the Search icon at the top right corner of any page to search Facebook for people, apps, pages, groups, events, posts and web results. - 18
Click on the Notification icon at the top left corner of any page. The Notifications page consists of two tabs -- "Notifications" and "Requests." Click the "Notifications" tab to view recent activity on your profile, such as posts, comments and messages. Click on the "Requests" tab to accept or decline friend requests, group requests and other similar invitations. - 19
Click on "Language" at the bottom of any page and select a language from the drop-down menu to change your mobile Facebook to that language. - 20
Click on "Full Site" at the bottom of any page to view the full Facebook website, the one you see on your computer. - 21
Click on "Logout" at the bottom of any page to log out of your account. - 22
Click on "Download" at the bottom of any page to download a smartphone app compatible with your device. Facebook apps make it easy to upload videos and photos saved on your device.
