The brain is a critical organ, which has a lot of effect on the human being, one small defect and the personality of the person changes completely.
When you get on the road there are loads of chances of you getting hurt and your head being hurt.
You never know if danger is lurking around the next corner or not.
Hence it is always better to wear a helmet and protect your brain.
Helmets were worn from the ancient time, starting from the warriors, Vikings and others.
However, the whole limelight on wearing motorcycle helmets was brought about after the fatal accident of Lawrence of Arabia, who had suffered a coma of six days before dying.
Helmet wearing was made compulsory in almost every country, but it can be found that some states within the same country do not have the compulsion of wearing helmet but the other states have the compulsion.
The components of a helmet is really very simple, it has a thin yet hard outer covering which is usually made up of a polycarbonate plastic or fiberglass and a thick inner coating which contains a polystyrene or polypropylene foam pads.
Every motorcycle helmets are designed in such a way that they are designed to take almost the whole impact of the fall and break off so that the energy of the fall does not affect the rider.
The outer layer of the motorcycle helmets is designed in such a way that it prevents the penetration into the rider's head and punctures it and also to act as a support to the inner foam of the helmet so that the inner layer does not go disfigured or something.
The inner layer is that it acts as a cushioning material during the fall and to provide the wearer with comfort.
There are three majorly known basic forms of motorcycle helmets they are; full faced helmet, off-road or motorcross, modular or flip-up, open faced, half helmet.
Full faced helmets are the type of helmet, which provides an overall protection to the head.
The off-road helmets are the helmets, which have an elongated chin, and vicar, which gives room for the wearer.
Modular helmets look technically like a full faced helmet but the jaw section along with the front could be moved to give it an open-faced helmet's effect.
The open faced helmets provide protection to the back, sides and the top of the head leaving the front portion open.
The half helmet is the helmet worn from the first, from its introduction, nowadays it is used for bicycle travelers.
