Six Feet Under Biography:

Six Feet Under was formed by former Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes in 1995 as a side project. When Barnes was permanently replaced in Cannibal by Monstrosity vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher SFU became his primary focus. Six Feet Under plays groove-oriented death metal that is sometimes called “death-n-roll.”

The music is propelled by strong riffs and Barnes’ guttural singing.

Six Feet Under is also known for frequently covering metal and rock bands like AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix and even Motley Crue.

Recommended Album:

Warpath
Six Feet Under’s second studio album is their finest work, in part because of the presence of Obituary guitarist Allen West, who was a key player on Obituary classics like “Slowly We Rot.” The album manages to be both catchy and fierce and features standout tracks “Nonexistence,” “Revenge of the Zombie,” and “Animal Instinct.” Barnes' vocals are especially strong on this release.
