Have We Bred Monster Kids?

It is important to me that people understand the seriousness involved when it comes to children.
I don't believe most parents now days understand the significance of being a parent.
More people need to come to realize the power we each have, in influencing a child's life.
We should also come to recognize the defiance of many adults when it comes to psychology.
Some adults find it easier to dismiss the human psyche as a joke, a non-existent, and all but ridiculous notion.
These adults are the very ones who are better at creating low self esteem in their own children than in providing children with the positive tools that will aide them into becoming productive adults.
In other words the very adults who deny psychology in itself, are the very adults who deny their own behavior as dysfunctional.
In a world of crime, drugs, pornography, low, if any, family values, and an astonishing divorce rate, we can look at the serious issues and pretty much conclude that what is lacking the most is the necessary ingredient that creates a positive and moral society...
we lack foundation.
I hate to sound morally superior, but I have concluded the reasons our country lacks heart might be because heart is something taught at the very root of our existence.
It comes from family.
We are a nation that finds it easier to dissolve marriage, than to nurture it.
As a result we have cultivated a very confused, and burdened society that lacks principle, tradition and heart.
I cannot stress enough that our children suffer everyday.
We should have great empathy for kids today and the fact that these kids have been thrown into situations that have not allowed them to develop and mature at a natural pace, but has forced them to become adults before they are even capable of doing so.
They just don't have the privilege to enjoy childhood and to experience the only time in their lives that is free from duty and responsibility.
They are being left to fend for themselves many times, and we all know children make mistakes, it's how we all come to eventually reach maturity.
Then, they are faced with the consequences, and this system has come to punish them as adults.
This doesn't seem fair.
As adults we have come to contribute to the delinquency of the children.
This is result of a population who sets more priority on careers, power, and material gain, above family.
We have fat children living off fast foods, latch key kids, unsupervised kids, which leads to poor decisions, crime, and worse, escape mechanisms like drug experimentation, unwanted teen pregnancy.
kids exposed to a movie and video industry that promotes violence, pornography, and sex.
Lets think for a moment about the music our children are being exposed to.
Look at the roll models our kids have been taught to believe are good.
More frightening, some kids identify with these bad example roll models as a result of having poor parental roll models at home.
It is a fact that children need to identify with roll models in order to establish their own identities.
So this is frightening.
The kids don't really have a fighting chance because they are a product of the society as society sees fit or simply allows.
The cycle is out of control.
It seems the only solution would be to hope that future generations will realize the lack there of's, and eventually bring the pendulum swinging back.
It will have to start with the adults who exist today reminding and educating today's generation of children, that this system, and this society has lead to great failure, and very much chaos.
