Some specify that you need to ask about their specials to receive additional savings. Bar Harbor Inn & Spa

• The Bar Harbor Inn is on eight acres of gardens and lawn and has three buildings of guest accommodations. The main Inn building is a wing of rooms and suites with many having fireplaces, balconies, and a view of the ocean. All rooms have either king or queen-size beds and the bathrooms have jetted tubs. The Ocean Front Lodge building has 64 rooms, each with an ocean view. The rooms have two queen-size beds or a king-size bed and private balconies. A free continental breakfast is served in the lobby of the Ocean Front Lodge building. The Newport building has 38 rooms with king or queen-size beds and each room has either a patio or a balcony. Close by, you can enjoy nature walks, golfing, museums, zoos, and whale watching.

Bear Mountain Inn

• The Bear Mountain Inn is on 25 acres of land and features the natural beauty of the surrounding lakes, forest, beaches, and mountains. The inn is a historic homestead with 11 rooms and suites for your getaway. It has weddings, conferences, seminars, and other special occasions throughout the year. During your stay, you can go hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. In the winter months, nearby you can have fun downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and much more. Camden Maine Stay

• Camden Maine Stay Inn was built in 1802 and many of the rooms have original wide plank flooring. The Inn is decorated with period furnishings in some rooms and antebellum pieces throughout the old home. Some guest rooms have a TV or you may watch TV in one of the sitting rooms. High-speed wireless Internet access is available and each room has its own private bath. Activities close by include tobogganing, skiing, ice skating, cross-country skiing as well as plays and museums. Guests are welcome in the kitchen and there is a cookie jar always filled along with hot cider for sitting by the coal stove.
