How to Filter Google Reader

    • 1). Open your Web browser and visit the Google Reader homepage (google.com/reader). If you are not currently logged into your Google account, click "Sign In" to sign in. Your main Google Reader page will be displayed.

    • 2). Scroll down to the "Subscriptions" portion of the window on the left side of the screen. Click on the name of a site you are subscribed to. This will filter the news stories displayed in the main page and display only stories from the selected site. To filter using a different site, click the name of the site in "Subscriptions."

    • 3). Select the name of a fellow Google Reader user from the "People You Follow" portion of the column on the left side of the screen. This will filter the news stories on your main page and display only stories recommended by that user. To filter using a different user, click the name of the user in "People You Follow."
