How to Fail at Affiliate Marketing!
If you are reading this article, then chances are the title hit home.
The chances of you failing at making money through affiliate marketing are, unfortunately, greater than they are of you succeeding.
Doesn't that just suck! How many times a day do you check your Clickbank account, or whatever affiliate program you are promoting, to see if you have made any sales? Too many times, I bet.
How many times have you said "why the hell am I not making any sales?" Are you one of those people that said, "hmmm, I think I will try to earn some extra money on the internet, after all, how hard can that be"? Well, let me ask you this, are you there yet? Did you build it and they haven't come? It's a pretty lousy feeling, isn't it.
Ok, ok, I am done with the negativity.
Let's go to the positive.
Once again, if you are reading this article, then you must still be thinking positive about affiliate marketing.
Do you still have that feeling that, "yes, I know this can work, if other people can do this, so can I"! Hang on to that feeling.
That is going to be your motivation to keep you going, because, yes, affiliate marketing can work and you can start earning money with it.
First things first.
Have you made yourself a list of things that you need to do everyday while you are building your business online? i.
e.
checking and responding to email, checking Google analytics, your Clickbank account, etc.
If not, make one.
You need to have a checklist for things that you have to do everyday because if you have a list and you get into a routine of taking care of your list first, then you free up more time to start your other list.
The other list should be a list that you compiled the night before of everything that you are going to do the next day.
Having these lists in front of you just makes it so much easier for you to stay on track and accomplishing what you have to do.
However you want to compose your list is up to you, whether you type it or write it, but the important thing is to keep those lists in front of you throughout the day and cross off the items that you have accomplished.
How often do you stray away and start surfing the internet? Stop, stop, stop.
Stay away from surfing the net and reading articles that have absolutely nothing to do with what you are doing.
Remember, this is your business.
If you were at work and you were surfing the internet, do you think your boss would be a happy camper? Hell no.
Try to connect to people that are successful affiliate marketers.
I know that is easier said than done, but there are so many affiliate marketers on the internet that are willing to help other people become successful.
Find some affiliate marketing forums where you can talk to other people, ask questions, or just read what others are saying.
That in itself is a fountain of information.
In order for you NOT to fail at affiliate marketing, get the proper training.
I cannot stress this enough.
There are so many things to learn about affiliate marketing that it can be mind boggling.
Look for a program that takes you step-by-step, gives you tasks that you have to complete, and teaches you all of the ins and outs of affiliate marketing.
How successful do you think you would be as a doctor if you went to school for carpentry? I know I wouldn't want you to be my doctor.
Educating yourself is the key to anything in life.
