    • 1). Write the text of your invitation on white paper -- by hand or on the computer -- in an Art Deco font such as Parisian, Kingsbury, Helvetica or Revlon. Lay out your text in a format that fits a 5-inch by 5-inch area including a 1/2-inch allowance for margins on all sides.

    • 2). Print the number of copies you require and use the scissors to cut off any excess white paper so the finished size of the text paper is 5 inches by 5 inches, including a 1/2-inch margin on all sides.

    • 3). Cut each sheet of 12-inch by 12-inch silver card stock into four equal parts with a craft knife and ruler. Using the ruler as your guide cut down the center of each sheet from top to bottom, and across the center of each sheet from side to side. This will yield four pieces that measure 6 inches by 6 inches for the backing of four invitations.

    • 4). Measure 1/2 inch in from each edge of the 6-inch squares of silver card stock backing and mark the measurement lightly with a stylus. This will act as a guide for centering the 5-inch by 5-inch white text paper when it is glued to the silver backing.

    • 5). Place a piece of silver backing on a work surface, silver side up.

    • 6). Place a 5-inch by 5-inch piece of white text paper, text side down, on the work surface and

      spray lightly with adhesive.

    • 7). Place the adhesive side of the white text paper down on the silver backing with the text facing up, centering it on the measured marks made with the stylus. You now have the white text paper glued to the silver backing with 1/2 inch of silver backing framing the text on all sides.
