Often when one thinks of world class skiing in the United States they think of Aspen or Vail, usually something in the Colorado Rockies. However all the reasons that make Colorado resorts great is available in Utah for cheaper rates and is more readily accessible than Vail or Aspen.

And with the resorts of Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude receiving approximately 500 inches of snow a year there is no shortage for anyone.
For those of you looking to stay at one of Utah's resorts consider the following. When choosing your lodging make sure to check how many bedrooms are available. What amenities are included with your room, does it have a fireplace? A kitchen? It's Very important to also check the location on a map. Use a tool like google maps to get accurate distances to and from your chosen resort. Get a number to call in case there is some problem that needs to be resolved. Don't forget to look around a bit, better to get a good deal than to take the first thing that looks good.
As for Airfare, you'll be flying into Salt Lake City International Airport. Most resorts are about an hour and a half drive from the airport. Don't forget to check with airport about shuttle service to the resorts if you don't want to rent a car.
