Follow One Course Until Successful I certainly wasn't the first person to coin this term, but in case you missed the acronym it stands for; Follow One Course Until Successful In simple terms, when you look back on your life to date, what has been the main reason that you have found success in any one field? Is it because you changed direction every week, and didn't push forward when you were faced with setbacks, or did you stay the course until you succeeded? I'm betting that if you attended college, then it is unlikely that you decided to change your course plan mid semester.
I understand that there are exceptions to the rule, but the main focal point is that you stuck with it until you had a degree.
I learned this lesson the hard way.
In fact, I have always given myself harsh lessons in that regard.
My adult life took a slightly different path than my peers.
I decided not to go to college after I finished high school.
In fact, I decided not to finish my final year at high school either.
My parents were as supportive as could be expected with my choice, and lack of direction, but they trusted that I would eventually find my path.
I held a myriad of jobs throughout my earlier working years, and gained all sorts of skills along the way.
My dream was always to work for myself.
Unfortunately as I have always been stubborn, I believed I could achieve this without any form of education, as I was determined not to get wound up in the system and stuck with a 'job,' In hindsight, had I simply gone and done a course in any number of fields, I could have quite easily set up my business without any issues, as it would have been the natural progression of my working career.
When I started looking at online businesses, I came in with the same mentality.
I assumed that when I started trading forex, and futures, that I needed to know every form of analysis out there.
I thought that when I started creating websites, that I needed to know every inch of web data available to be able to be successful.
It wasn't until I started gaining some momentum in my online ventures that I came to understand the importance of focussing my energy.
I realised, that instead of trying to learn about app development, mobile websites, pay per click advertising, product creation and the many other aspects I have now picked up over the years, had I stuck to one at a time, my success would have come faster, and stronger.
If you have set yourself a goal, or challenge of any kind, then I would suggest that you prioritise your one main goal.
Make that one main goal the focal point of your efforts, and do not allow yourself to become distracted along the way.
Success will come quicker, and with less effort overall if you simply follow this guideline and force yourself to stay the course.
On a final note, whatever it is you want to achieve in your life, make sure you are passionate enough about it to maintain your desire.
This is imperative to your success.
