Those of you fortunate enough to own an iPod touch or an iPhone would most likely be familiar with the extremely popular game 'Angrybirds'.
Well, you'd be thrilled to know that this game is very similar, except it is based in medieval times, and the objective is to crush your enemies forts by catapulting a variety of stones and objects at them.
As you progress, the weapons you unlock have an increasing effect, enabling you to inflict more damage and obliterate the enemy defenses much more easily.
The trickiness however comes with the firing, you must select your weapon of choice to be placed upon the catapult and left click the mouse to make rotation.
Whilst it is in its swinging motion, you must click again to signal when the object comes loose from the catapult, the angle at which your projectile strikes the enemies castle will depend on when you click to release it.
The game requires a respectable amount of patience, and can take several attempts to become familiar with the timings, if you click too late then the rocks will bounce off the floor and the damage will only be minor, if anything.
Fortunately, the first levels are easy, requiring you to hit pretty much any point of the enemy's structure - sending it tumbling and killing your foes.
If the game proves to be too easy, or you find yourself searching for new challenges, you're awarded medals depending on how many strikes it takes you to achieve your goal and obviously the difficulty of the structure.
The beginner levels award gold medals after only one shot; however, there will come some maps where that may prove impossible.
In addition to the actual campaign mode, you have the ability to create maps and share maps with users online further enhancing your experience.
Every map could be unique.
There is an assortment of textures, and sizes of walls and other features, using these you could attempt to create a fun map where you have you make a domino effect, or simply make it as challenging as possible, if the campaign mode itself wasn't hard enough.
Bear in mind however, that you won't be able to complete many of your customized maps if you haven't unlocked all of the catapult items.
Making it a priority to advance as far as possible.
When reading about Crush the Castle, and to have never played it or a similar game before, it may sound a little flat and dull.
