How to Get Rid of Blue Picture Boxes on Google Earth
- 1). Open Google Earth.
- 2). Go to the "Layers" section located on the "Side Bar" at the left side of the Google Earth window. The "Layers" section is below the "Search" and "Places" sections.
- 3). Look for "Geographic Web" (marked with a green star) on the "Layers" list.
- 4). Click on the plus sign box beside "Geographic Web" to open the "Geographic Web" list and then click on the check marked box to the left of "Panoramio" and/or "Places" to deselect these options and immediately remove the blue boxes (hide the layers) from the viewing screen. Completing this option not only removes the blue boxes from the viewing screen image, but also from any copy that you make of the image using the "Copy Image" option in the "Edit" menu.
