Hi, I'm Christina Chiu. I'm a computer web specialist, and today I'm going to show you common GUI and web app screen controls. Now if we open up a web browser here and we show you a very basic one that Google uses a lot, which is called a search bar and it actually does what's called an auto complete. A lot of times someone researches something like how to and you can see on the bottom here it auto completes it for you. Another GUI or graphical user interface that common websites use is called a date picker so for an example I have the NBA schedule on USA Today and it has datebook right here so if I click on it, it shows up the calendar which is what most date pickers use. So I'm going to go for example select June 12th, so I'm going to select that and it will take me to June 12th games and another one that is commonly used is called a drop-down menu. So if I select more it has a drop-down menu of more leads like NCAAB, golf, soccer and all of that or a lot of user interfaces that websites used is called a pop-up window so if I click on for example for this page, click on choose team, it brings me to a pop-up window of all the teams that I can choose from.
