Recession-Proof - Do Better Than Just Get By
Recession-Proof - How certain entrepreneurs prevail, when others have lost hope.
I can best define Recession as; any dramatic halt in economic or industrial activity for any specific period of time.
Not many would argue the fact here in the US; this definition hardly signifies what our country is going through.
Not only are we noticing a decrease in activity.
Businesses that have been in operation for decades are now closing their doors [going under].
All more alarming, this epidemic seems to be occurring rather regularly; almost having a snowball effect on small businesses and corporate giants, alike.
The American people are back to nickel and diming as our forefathers did, quite similar to the great depression of the late 1920's.
Because of the frugal lifestyle that has been forced upon us, our once wasteful society has no idea how to cope.
We are freaking out, in a sense.
No one [in this generation] seemingly knows how to handle being broke...
or do they? Nestled in the corners our divine country, in predominantly rural locations, somehow...
people are coping.
People are not only coping, but some are actually doing better for themselves now, than ever before.
[I introduce to you, the Recession-Proof class of American Society.
] Growing up in the lower end of middle-class America, my raising was one of which I would deem extremely fortunate, yet still unfortunate by some standards.
Fortunate in a manner in which my younger life had conditioned me for what I'm encountering now as an adult today.
Unfortunate in the sense that I did without more often times, than not, growing up.
My family struggled.
In fact, I only consider my family lower middle-class honoring the efforts of my single mother raising my younger sister and me.
Had it not been for her dedication, poverty would have even seemed a luxury.
Scrapping by, she did what she had to do to raise her children.
Now that I'm grown and well, I would consider her endeavourer a success.
My mother was not alone in her struggles.
Many others have had it just "as bad" in the past.
It's these individuals, that I feel - are Recession-Proof.
How would these individuals see the times that we are facing today [in this recession] any different that the everyday lives that they live.
Almost as if these rough times have prepared them.
These people are now embarking on endeavors and this sense of toughness has propelled them and the ventures to success.
Take John Climani, founder of Superior Hospitality Solutions, who willing stated "the way I was raised helped me understand the true value of the dollar..
..
this in-turn, has carried over into my company.
" This new movement into tough times has opened the doors to new entrepreneurs who know how to cope in tough times.
It has almost opened up an entirely new code of ethics; people going on good faith rather than monetary compromise, as money is harder to come by now, more so than it ever was before.
In closing, many have been affected by our country's economic status, both good and bad.
In one man's failure, it's said, comes another man's opportunity.
I have witnessed the success of entrepreneurs in today's tough-times, deeming those special ones "Recession-Proof.
