How to Repair a Female Friendship After an Affair
- 1). Call your friend on the phone. Tell her that the conflict between the two of you has been bothering you. Ask her to meet you at your house or in a quiet restaurant to discuss your differences.
- 2). Tell your friend that you are glad she decided to meet you. Let her know how much her friendship means to you, and that you would hate to lose her as a friend. Remind her of the good memories you shared with her, such as graduating from college or going on a road trip together.
- 3). Apologize to her. When you apologize, look her in the eye and say, "I am sorry the affair affected our friendship. I hope we can work through this because I miss your friendship."
- 4). Allow her to speak. Even if she screams or yells, let her express her feelings. Don't interrupt her or tell her that she needs to calm down. Because she gave you a chance to speak, be respectful by letting her make her point.
- 5). Do not be alarmed if she doesn't accept your apology right away. She may not be ready to make up with you because she still feels hurt. Give her some space, and wait for her to call you. If she doesn't call you within a couple of weeks, send her a friendly email that reiterates what you told her before.
