Enable POP in Gmail

• 1). Open a Web browser and sign into your Google Gmail account.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Settings" icon next to your username in the top right corner of the page. Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
  
  
• 3). Select either to enable POP for all mail or for mail that arrives from now on by clicking the button beside either option.
  
  
• 4). Click the menu beside "When messages are accessed with POP" to select whether you want Gmail to keep a copy of forwarded messages, keep a copy marked as read, archive or delete it.
  
  

Add a Gmail Account to Entourage

• 1). Launch Entourage on your Mac. Click "Tools" and then "Account Settings." Click "New." Choose "POP" as the "Account Type" and then click "OK."
  
  
• 2). Type a name for your Gmail account and then enter your name and your full Gmail email address in the appropriate fields. Enter your full Gmail email address again in the "Account ID" field.
  
  
• 3). Type "pop.gmail.com" in the "Incoming Mail Server" field. Click "Advanced Receiving Options."
  
  
• 4). Select "This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)" by clicking on the check box.
  
  
• 5). Type your email password in the "Password" field.
  
  
• 6). Type "smtp.gmail.com" in the "Outgoing Mail Server" field.
  
  
• 7). Click "Advanced Sending Options."
  
  
• 8). Click the box beside "SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL)."
  
  
• 9). Click the box beside "Override default SMTP port." Type "465" into the text field as the port number.

  Click the box beside "SMTP server requires authentication."

  Click "OK." Select this Gmail account name to send any emails from Entourage through your Google Gmail account.
