    Setting Up Email Import

    • 1). Boot your Entourage software by double-clicking the software icon on your Finder bar. Under the Tools menu at the top, click the "Accounts" option.

    • 2). Click the "New" option from the Accounts window. Click the "Mail" option to start the Account Setup Assistant. Type the name that you want to use in the Your Name field and then click the "Configure account manually" option from the lower left of the menu.

    • 3). Choose "POP," "IMAP" or "Hotmail/MSN" from the Account Type menu. These are the most common email client protocols. If you don't know what kind of email protocol your email client uses, send an email to your system administrator or contact your email client.

    • 4). Type your "Account Name," "Name," "Email Address," "Account ID," "Server" and "Password" into the field that appears. Type the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server address into the field. Your email client provides you with the SMTP server address. Click "OK."

    • 5). Leave the defaults in the next two menus. These are for IT professionals who are setting up server information. Click "OK." Make any changes to the "Delete Options" that you would like. Click the "Move messages to the Deleted Items Folder" to make changes. Click the "OK" button.

    Importing Address Book

    • 1). Go to your Outlook Express 5.0 program and click the "File" menu. Click the "Export" icon. Click the "Address Book" icon. Click the "Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book" icon and then click the "Export" button.

Click the "OK" button and then click the "OK" button when the export has finished. The exported file is on your desktop. Copy and paste the exported file to a flash drive or an SD card for transfer.

    • 3). Insert the flash drive or SD card into your OS X computer and click the "File" icon on your Entourage software. Click the "Import" option in the menu. Choose the "Outlook Data File" option from the menu and click the small arrow key on the bottom of the page.

    • 4). Click the "Outlook for Mac Data File" option in the menu and click the arrow at the bottom of the page. Choose the file from the menu that appears on the screen. Click your flash drive or SD card icon to access the file.

    • 5). Wait for your contacts to import into the program. This should take about 15 seconds to occur. You are prompted when the import has finished.
