How to Expand Wallpaper in a Chrome Theme
- 1). Open the Google Chrome Web browser and open a new tab. The selected theme displays on the screen.
- 2). Right-click the theme image. A list appears.
- 3). Select “Inspect element.” A list appears below the horizontal line on the screen.
- 4). Click the “Resources” tab. A scrollable pane appears on the left.
- 5). Click the “Frames” folder in the left pane. A list appears.
- 6). Click “Images” in the list.
- 7). Double-click “IDR_Theme_NTP_BACKGROUND” on the “Images” list. If the text is partially hidden, point over the border of the scrollable area. Click and drag the scrollable area to the right to display the text. The Chrome theme expands on the screen.
- 8). Right-click the theme image. A list appears.
- 9). Click “Save image as.” The “Save As” box opens.

Click the “Desktop” location in the scrollable left pane. - 11
Type a file name for this Chrome theme in the “File name” text box. This "Save as type" text box displays "PNG Image." - 12
Click “Save.” A thumbnail image appears on the desktop. - 13
Right-click the thumbnail image on the desktop. A list appears. - 14
Click “Set as desktop background.” The Google Chrome theme displays as an expanded wallpaper.
