Decluttering the Bathroom

103 7
Bathrooms are a small space so it is pretty easy for them to become really cluttered in no time at all.
The trouble is your bathroom is also supposed to be that place of relaxation, whether you are soaking in the tub or enjoying a steamy hot shower.
There is nothing worse than a disorganized bathroom.
Most bathrooms can be decluttered in just a few hours, so let's get busy.
The Medicine Cabinet Start with the medicine cabinet.
Remove everything.
Go through any medications and dispose of any expired medicines.
Toss out dirty bandages, creams that do not look so good anymore, and all those ointments that look rather nasty.
You should "not" be treating injuries with unsanitary products.
While you are at it get rid of the "stuff" that is in the medicine cabinet that you simply do not use.
Before putting things back in the medicine cabinet wash everything down - the cabinet and the items.
Drawer Space If your bathroom has any type of drawers you will want to take the drawers out and empty them.
If the drawer is full of bits and pieces you will need to sort through it all.
Get yourself a container for keepers; give away items, and garbage.
Wipe the drawers out before replacing the items.
Try to organize using small containers or zip lock bags.
For example, in many bathrooms you will find drawers full of hair products.
Boggles, headbands, barrettes - items like these can be stored much better if they are organized.
Cabinets Linens and towels could be in drawers or in cabinets below the sink.
You need to go through and discard any that are worn or torn.
Refold and restack neatly.
Whatever is in your bathroom drawer space you need to deal with it.
If you can use a caddy or some type of organizer for this space then invest in one.
There are many types of products on the market that are designed to help you make the best of the space you have available.
Sink Countertops A bathroom always looks neat and tidy if there is little more than a cup and toothbrushes on the countertop.
Trouble is that is seldom how it look.
You need to find a home for all the extra stuff that finds itself stacked on the sink because it not only does not look good, it ruins the calm environment.
The Tub If the edge of your tub is packed with everything from shampoo to body wash to toiletries, and everything in between, then you are not alone.
The trouble is not only does it make it difficult to keep things clean, it looks awful.
If you do not have storage in the bathroom for these items invest in corner shelving units or the style that hangs over the shower head.
In minutes you can turn bathtub clutter into bathtub organization.
The bathroom is actually one of the easiest rooms to declutter, yet many are overwhelmed by it.
That is because the small space can quickly get out of control leaving you not sure where to begin.
Why wait? Enjoy the rewarding finished results of a decluttered bathroom.
