OGA Not Genuine

• A pop-up saying that your copy of Microsoft Office is not genuine may come up. This message can come up every time you open an Office program. To stop this from happening, type "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\8998da55d52b36c0e98ba016ddd50de0\ folder" in the search bar at the bottom of the "Start" menu. It should come up in the search results. If you can't find this, try typing "OGANotifier.cab." Extract OGANotifer.cab with Winzip (which can be downloaded free on the Internet and extracts files). This will reveal a file called OGANotifier.msi. Right-click on this and select "Uninstall."
  
  

Programs not Working

• With unregistered copies of anything, corruption can occur and programs could fail to work properly. You may get a "Script missing" message and not be able to access some of the items on the ribbon. This is because unregistered copies can be corrupt, have viruses or be missing important files.
  
  

Viruses

• The worst thing that could happen is that you introduce viruses into your computer. These can get in when the software is being download through a "Crack/Key Code" (a special code obtained on the Internet that allows access to software). The viruses could wipe everything and wreck your hard drive. So if you are going to install an unregistered copy of Microsoft Office, scan it for viruses first. If it is on a CD, you can it for viruses before installation by going into "Computer" and opening the folder in the DVD drive.
  
  

Updates

• You may not be able to update everything normally, as Microsoft can detect an unregistered copy of its products. Even if the updates go through, they may not work correctly. You may find you are unable to use some of the tools or options in the programs or they keep crashing.
